I just purchased a Node 2 from my lbs (who is closed today). Installed the Node 2 with 3 sensors- heart rate, cadence and speed. For the life of me I cannot get the thing to 'pair'.

NODE 1.1 & NODE 2.1 Complete Instructions. About This Manual This is the complete manual for your NODE computer. It explains how to install your NODE computer and complete the setup (programming). It includes riding safety. It also shows how to access the features of your NODE computer and to view and record your ride data. Bontrager ANT+ Bike Speed/Cadence Sensor that requires no zipties or tools! Ziptied it onto my frame. And the first battery lasted 3 months. Other than that it’s been great. I use with both the Node 2.1 and Edge 500. Could you tell me your opinion on the bontrager node 2.1 with it’s cons and pros if possible and if you know if i can. Feb 14, 2013  I purchased the Bontrager Node 1.1 Computer and Speedtrap Sensor for Trek Madone 2.1. It seems thats the Trek fork insert is not compatible with the Speedtrap sensor. When i removed the plastic cover on the fork and I see that it has a flat surface. The Speedtrap sensor has the battery housing which the fork insert does not have.

Any clue why it won't pair?
I tried all the obvious things: spacing between magnets and sensor, new batteries, resetting the thing countless times, pulling all batteries and starting new. All tries gave no joy.
Maybe I will have to wait until the lbs reopened but wanted to use it tonight.
Any hints?

Bontrager Node 2.1

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone here can help me as, from all my Googling, it seems I have a unique problem.
I have a Bontrager Node 2.1 computer, which I use on my Trek 1.2 road bike with a Speedtrap sensor and a separate cadence sensor on the chainstay - this set-up works fine with no issues.
I decided I'd get a Bontrager Combo sensor (speed and cadence) for my MTB and switch the Node 2.1 between the two bikes.
The problem I'm having is that I can get the Node to connect to the sensors on my road bike but it just won't connect to the sensors on my MTB.
I've even tried pulling the sensors off the MTB and sitting there with the Node in paring mode, swiping magnets over the sensors to make them send a signal by still no joy.
When I'm trying to pair them, I can see a red and green LED flash up on the Combo sensor, indicating the magnet has tripped the sensor, but this stops after about 5 seconds (I assume to save power), but it still won't pair up.
I've tried swapping out to new batteries in everything too.
Is it a case of the Node will only pair with one set of sensors or is there something broken?
Any help would be gratefully received, I've tried mailing Bontrager but haven't had a reply yet!
Thanks in advance!
